You can read more about Antler via antler.co. The Portfolio Director Role We are looking for a Portfolio Director for our Antler Australia. This is a core role in the ongoing expansion of Antler’s presence in Australia. It will be responsible for the support, management and ongoing investment of our startup portfolio in Australia. We are looking for an industry leader with deep expertise in investment, company building and an extensive network within the local ecosystem. Responsibilities Design and implement the portfolio management of ~150 companies within the Antler Australia fund Working with the portfolio companies, source and secure onwards investment into portfolio companies from Australian and global investors and build extensive, durable networks for funding our companies Act as a coach and mentor to a diverse range of early-stage technology companies, supporting them through launch and investment Run the tracking of portfolio updates and performance related metrics across the local portfolio and support audit and reporting processes Acting as a board observer, representing the Antler fund investment for a number of the portfolio Act as a deal scout for Antler’s Global Fund within the local ecosystem Participate in Antler Australia Investment Committees as an Observer and coaching lead on relevant businesses Support building the ecosystem of advisors, venture partners and investors across Australia Support recruiting, marketing and broader operations of Antler Australia Requirements Exceptional record of performance across higher education and in your minimum of 6-8 years of work experience - ideally in a related field such as venture capital, founding startups, PE or consulting Previous experience sourcing and undertaking VC funding required, either as a founder, investor or adviser Extensive entrepreneurial experience; having been an early employee in a small or early-stage company is a big plus Previous experience of funds management and reporting will also be held in high regard Personal Skills Highly organized and able to structure and execute multiple processes simultaneously Results-oriented and outstanding personal commitment Comfortable with quick changes, tight deadlines and ambiguity Highly collaborative approach and influencing skills Excellent communications skills Flexible, comfortable with ambiguity and willingness to support across the growth of Antler High level of ambition to which will translate to building the DNA of Antler as a world class company What we offer Management position in a global firm with a presence in over 12 markets world-wide Opportunity to work in Venture Capital and build expertise in investment and early-stage company formation Opportunity to manage a large, diverse portfolio of early stage companies Opportunity to work with and manage a highly qualified and dedicated team Competitive salary and a significant share of the financial upside Key details Start date: We are targeting a start date of late August Remuneration: This position is remunerated by a combination of salary and carry within the Antler Australia Fund

The Portfolio Management role Portfolio management is responsible for the support, management and ongoing investment of our startup portfolio globally. This includes supporting the portfolio companies to succeed (fundraise, grow and exit) through better systems, processes, and tools, as well as hands-on support. Responsibilities Help create best practice processes across Portfolio Management. Update the Antler Playbook accordingly. Partner and coordinate with locations globally to ensure this is implemented. Own Portfolio Management Playbook and support with portfolio knowledge sharing to Antler and portfolio teams regarding Antler Portfolio Management learnings. Mentoring and supporting portfolio companies to fundraise through introductions, liaising with VCs and other investors, support with term sheets, etc. You will see the fundraising process from start to finish. Helping to ensure we’re connected to, and have a relationship with, the leading VCs globally. Helping upskill Antler teams and portfolio on VC terms and know-how. Knowledge sharing with the VC ecosystem, such as on seed fundraising and how to scale a company. Research on market trends and opportunities for Antler Intelligence. Working with the tech team to further develop our internal and external facing Antler tech platforms, for founder, investors, advisors, and Antler staff. For example, automating introductions. Attending portfolio reviews at the end of each quarter with the local and investment team to understand how the companies are performing. Cleaning and structuring data including our portfolio and investor data. Own these databases and ensure, with the local teams, it is up-to-date.
